We sincerely hope that through these pages, we can provide a clearer understanding of who we truly are and dispel some longstanding myths. First and foremost, let us clarify that we are not a secret society. In fact, we hold no secrets at all; rather, we are an open non-denominational Christian organisation with an ancient and respected history, striving to uphold the ideals of chivalry in today's world. We have no ties to any political party and remain strictly non-political without any political aims or objectives. Additionally, we do not function as a historical or re-enactment society. While some members may be Freemasons, our organisation is neither masonic nor affiliated with Freemasonry in any form. Nine centuries after the founding of the Order of the Temple, the Grand Priory of England (OSMTH England) stands among Templar organisations dedicated to preserving the noble traditions of the Knights Templar today. Simultaneously, we commit ourselves to raising funds for various charities chosen annually—past beneficiaries include Help 4 Heroes, Bus Stop, The Rainbow Trust and most recently Blind Veterans.
